Cruisin’ New England “Fun” Show Series

The Cruisin’ New England Magazine “Fun” Show Series for 2008 kicks off with the Elite Dream Machines Rock ‘N Roll Weekend at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, July 5-6.

This two day event showcases some of the northeast’s premiere antiques, street rods, muscle cars and special interest vehicles from all over the northeast.

In the Uncas Ballroom, it’s the 9th Annual Elite Dream Machines. This invitation only event has some of the country’s finest vehicles from as far away as Florida. This two day extravaganza includes a Saturday evening “Golden Greats of Rock ‘N Roll” concert, prizes, great shopping and outstanding restaurants.

The second part of the weekend show is the “Rooftop” Super Cruise, with live entertainment, prizes and food. This cruise is limited and pre-registration is required. Each participant receives a commemorative award and a pair of tickets to the Saturday evening “Golden Greats of Rock ‘N Roll” concert. “Top 25” awards and 5 vehicles will qualify for the 2008 Super Wheels Showdown.

Next, it’s the All Wheels Nationals on Cape Cod. This year it’s a new twist with daily “Top 5” Class Awards open to all years and models vehicles.

The new theme for the show is “The Battle of the Decades: featuring a team competition. Anyone can put together a team, a club, business or just a group of friends. The Battle of the Decades is open to groups of ten competing as a team. The winning team will receive embroidered championship jackets and all will qualify for the Super Wheels Showdown.

The show series continues in Boston for the “Super Bowl of Auto Shows” the Super Wheels Showdown XIV, October 4, at City Hall Plaza. The showdown showcases “Best of Show” and “Super Cruise Night” winners from all over the northeast region. Keep up with all the qualifying events in our Road to the Showdown section.

Our 2008 season will come to an end with the DARE…ing Spooktacular Cruise ‘N Classic car show in October. Get your decorations ready for Ghost, Goblin, Witches’ awards and Top 25 Theme awards. Also, there are non-decorated classes open to all vehicles.
